Help buying a Safe Place Bed

Firstly, we offer PayPal and Clearpay on our website, so that you can pay in three instalments if that helps.

Over the past five years we’ve had many charities fund Safe Place Beds – either in full or in part. There are no guarantees, but here are the most popular routes to get you started:

Family Fund - UK-wide charity for those on a low income

ERGC – lucky enough to live in Scotland? This charity is 50% funding a Safe Place Bed every month in 2026.

Other charities – these can have geographical / diagnosis / financial restrictions so please check them out before you apply.

Charity funding: Family Fund Family Fund is one of the largest sources of financial support for low-income households in the UK raising a disabled or seriously ill child.

They provide grants to help with essential items that improve everyday life and reduce pressure on carers.

Families who receive a grant can use it to buy a Safe Place Bed via the Learning Space website, who have matched our website prices, so you get the most bang for your buck out of your grant.

You can read more about Family Fund and apply directly on their website: https://www.familyfund.org.uk

Scotland: ERGC ERGC has partnered with Safe Place Beds to 50%-fund a Safe Place Bed every month in 2026.

· The family pays 50% of the cost to ERGC.

· The charity match-funds the remaining 50%

· The order is then placed with Safe Place Beds and the order is sent to the customer.

This scheme is Scotland-specific, and they have never refused an application for support to purchase a Safe Place Bed.

Safe Place Beds

The Safe Place Bed is designed for children aged around 3 to 13 who need a safer sleep environment. It is often used where there is night-time movement, climbing, seizures or reduced awareness of danger. This includes many autistic children and children with neurological or genetic conditions.

The bed provides a secure, enclosed sleep space that helps reduce the risk of injury during the night. For many households, it also supports more settled sleep, which can make a real difference to daily life for both the child and the adults caring for them.

Because the bed has a clear safety purpose, this can help when it is being considered by charities as part of a funding application.
